One of Parks & Recreation‘s cast members is trading laughs for drama after booking a hot role in an upcoming episode of the sophomore drama series.Check out a complete list of spoilers HERE, and keep up with the daily goings-on on set HERE.
Parks & Recreation actor Jim O’Heir, who plays accident prone Jerry Gergich on the NBC comedy series, has secured a role in the fourth episode of TNT’s hit series Rizzoli & Isles, sources confirm.
O’Heir will fill the role of Phil Young, who’s described as rich and tightly wound, but with a good public face. In the episode, titled “Don’t Hate the Player,” Boston P.D. finds themselves investigating the death of a baseball player which while initially appears to be an accident, may just be foul play after all.
For those worrying whether or not this means a potential departure from his series regular role on the hilarious Parks & Recreation, don’t fret. Production on season three wrapped at the end of last year, thus opening up a nice schedule for guest gigs (O’Heir appeared in an episode of Parenthood earlier this year). O’Heir’s episode is expected to air in early August.
