"I didn't want Jane coming back to work to balloons and a cake; I wanted a reluctant hero," says exec producer Janet Tamaro of where R&I picks up - three months after Jane Rizzoli shot herself to save her brother in the finale. "She experienced a trauma and she's stalling about working again." Not that staying home would be better. In the opener, Jane discovers her parents are divorcing. Still, brighter times are ahead for Jane and Dr. Maura Isles. Translation: "More love interests this season for both," Tamaro says. Jane's high school boyfriend shows up at her hero ceremony.
