"Rizzoli & Isles" season 2: Episode 3 spoilers!

The show is currently casting an incredibly important part — a hunky, 30-something mechanic who used to crush on Jane but now has his eyes set on Maura. But something about how the tale ends tells me the role won’t be recurring…

Rizzoli & Isles is about to balance out the Frost with some heat. Sources confirm to me exclusively that in the third episode of the upcoming second season, we’ll be introduced to Detective Barry Frost’s father. And let’s just say things do not go so smoothly.

In the third episode of the season titled “Sailor Man,” Admiral Frost will butt heads with the Boston PD when one of his men is accused of murder. To put it mildly, Frost (Lee Thompson Young) and his father do not see things eye to eye regarding the investigation and the Admiral is determined to see his petty officer set free. Casting is currently underway.

In the same episode look for Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) to come into contact with a former beau. Rizzoli’s mother hoped the two would marry, and while Jane didn’t much care for the ‘fella, he definitely catches the eye of partner-in-crime Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander).
