Angie Harmon: "Baywatch" revival would be "genius, amazing"!

From the New York Daily News:

The babes of “Baywatch” would turn on a whole new generation — if only they were given a chance.

So says David Hasselhoff’s longtime pal, Angie Harmon, who believes the Hoff’s 4-year campaign to bring the hit show back would result in a huge smash if it had a “Dallas”-style makeover.

Harmon, who starred in a beach-and-bikini spinoff, “Baywatch Nights,” feels that Pam Anderson, Gena Lee Nolin and Carmen Electra should return to the sandy shores of Malibu. But she thinks they should be joined by a host of curvaceous twentysomething beauties to appeal to a new generation of fans.

“Look at ‘Dallas’ now — with the whole younger generation it has worked,” Harmon said. “That would be genius, amazing ... all these hot young people running around on the beach and saving lives.”

Laughing, Harmon added, “Can you imagine all the surgery? I would be fine, as my character was fully clothed at all times. I played a forensic criminologist, so I would have no problem with that.”

A hit serial drama for TNT, “Dallas” has won audiences over with its revamp using older stars like Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy and younger pretty things like Jordana Brewster.

Harmon, a former model who stars in TNT’s “Rizzoli And Isles” reckons The Hoff, 60, would get back into tip-top shape given the chance to hit the beach again.

“David was always in great shape. It is so funny, back then he had a huge trailer and all the weights, which were air-pressurized,” Harmon said.

“He is so self-deprecating he would be hilarious. He totally should do it.”
