Angie Harmon featured in the Dallas Morning News!

Destiny and DNA played a big part when 15-year-old Highland Park High School student Angie Harmon beat out 63,000 other applicants to win a Seventeen magazine cover-model contest. Her father, Larry Harmon, was featured in print and TV ads as "The Sanger Harris Man"; while her mother, Daphne Caravageli, was a raven-haired Greek beauty. Both parents modeled for the Kim Dawson Agency.

"[Kim Dawson] was in the waiting room at the hospital the day I was born" Harmon says. "She was responsible for starting so many careers, including mine."

A chance meeting on an airplane with David Hasselhoff landed her a job on Baywatch Nights. But it was her role on Law & Order as maverick Texan prosecutor Abbie Carmichael that launched her into the upper atmosphere of fame.
