For the second consecutive week, TNT's blockbuster dramas The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles scored strong growth as they chalked up another night of impressive numbers.

Last night, The Closer got things off to a terrific start at 9 p.m. with 5.8 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery. That's up 10% over last week's episode. Combined with its 11 p.m. encore, last night's episode has drawn 7.8 million viewers.

Rizzoli & Isles followed at a brisk pace with more than 5.3 million viewers in Live + Same Day, up 9% over last week. Combined with its midnight encore, last night's episode of Rizzoli & Isles has delivered 6.9 million viewers.

Both shows charted demo growth, as well, including a 4% boost among adults 18-49 for each. The Closer also grew 4% among adults 25-54, while Rizzoli & Isles jumped 6% over last week.

Next Monday night, TNT will present the exciting winter finales of both The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles.
