"Rizzoli & Isles" season 2, episode 2 Live + 7 ratings!

From Turner:
TNT’s blockbuster crime drama Rizzoli & Isles scored a remarkable 9 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery for its July 18 episode, beating its July 11 season premiere (8.6 million) by 4%. This marks the fourth time Rizzoli & Isles has hit the 9 million mark. In addition, the July 18 episode also scored 2.5 million adults 18-49 and 3.3 million adults 25-54, both up 7% compared to the show’s season premiere.

Rizzoli & Isles, which stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander, ranked as basic cable’s #1 series of 2010 and is currently running neck-and-neck with The Closer as basic cable’s top series of 2012. TNT announced last week that it has ordered a third season of Rizzoli & Isles.
So what is this Live + 7 thing anyway?

Basically Nielsen Media Research, which gauges audience measurements (known as "Nielsen ratings"), takes into account that some people won't watch a show live but instead elect to play it back later on TiVo or On Demand. Live + 7 is just what it sounds like - the live ratings, plus any playbacks within seven days. It takes a few weeks to process these ratings, which is why the episode 2 ones were just released today.Absolutely Angie: A fan site with news, photos, and commentary related to "Rizzoli & Isles" star Angie Harmon.
