Article: It takes two, & these two have it!

You can call "Rizzoli & Isles" glib and sometimes even silly, but you have to admit it's also fun.

Few fempals have an easier or more appealing rapport than Angie Harmon's Jane Rizzoli and Sasha Alexander's Maura Isles.

They're the ones who make the constant flow of wry patter seem engaging, rather than simply annoying. They make it sound not like a recycled sitcom, but a solid chick flick.

For those tuning in late, and that's not a problem with this show, Rizzoli is a high-achieving detective with the Boston Police Department. She's also presented as a lifelong blue-collar tomboy, and given the fact she's Angie Harmon, that part sometimes stretches credulity.

Still, it makes sense that she would act as tough as the boys, because otherwise there'd be no way she would have survived and thrived in their testosterone-driven world.
