Harmon stars in the hit TNT series “Rizzoli & Isles.” Now in its second season, the drama (Mondays at 10 p.m.) follows Boston homicide detective Jane Rizzoli (Harmon) and her best friend, medical examiner Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander). Fans constantly ask Harmon what it’s like to work opposite Alexander and play her best friend.
“You wouldn’t believe the questions that I get,” Harmon told the Herald in a recent telephone interview. For Harmon, it’s simple. “We’re actors and we play friends and we’re friends in real life.”
