Lee Thompson Young: Angie is great to work with. She has a lot of energy, she’s a person who, when she comes to set in the morning, she just comes full of life, full of energy, ready to laugh, ready to work and it’s like that all day long. Aside from being a really good person – very professional and very kind to all the crew and everything – she’s also to my eye as an actor just out-of-this-world talented with her craft of acting. I think that most people that watch the show, obviously they see her work, watch the show and enjoy it, but for me as an actor it’s kind of a bit of a different experience. I would relate it to like a musician listening to another musician play versus just someone enjoying the music who doesn’t know about music, because specifically the little things, the choices that she makes, the way she prepares for her scenes, it’s really, of all the people I’ve worked with, very standout. Her whole process is very unique and the results are just really spectacular. I really feel like I learn a lot on set watching Angie.

For years, "The Closer" was the number one series on basic cable. Then along came "Rizzoli & Isles." Last year, I was hard on the show's premiere because it was so dark. But there's none of that in this season's first two episodes as the show strikes a good balance between drama and humor.Absolutely Angie: A fan site with news, photos, and commentary related to "Rizzoli & Isles" star Angie Harmon.
At the heart of the show is the relationship between Boston police detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and medical examiner Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander). The two are good at solving crimes, but they are great at looking out for each other.
The premiere picks up with Jane recovering from the gunshot wound she suffered last season. She's trying to return her life to normal, which is not easy with the bomb her mother (Lorraine Bracco) drops on her. And she tries to find her groove on the job again by helping to solve the murder of a war hero.
The key to the show's success is the chemistry between Harmon and Alexander and it is some of the strongest I've seen in a while. The cases are also strong-especially the one in the second episode involving the murder of a surrogate mother.
"Rizzoli & Isles" premieres Monday, July 11 at 10 p.m. on TNT.

"When Angie comes in a room, she is like a force of nature," Alexander says. "I'm an outgoing person, but nothing like she is. Angie is a Texas girl through and through. And everything about her -- her heart, her energy, her sense of humor, her volume! -- it's all bigger than life."
The actresses have distinctly different personalities, but their Odd Couple vibe onscreen and off makes Rizzoli & Isles one of the most enjoyable shows of the summer.
